What a farce Valentines Day is – just another excuse to prise money from our pockets. As you might have guessed – I don’t do Valentines Day – it’s a crock! Difficulty getting into a decent restaurant, paying over the odds for flowers – and the intense pressure so many of both sexes feel to please… And pay! Why do people bother!
Way back when I used to ‘partake’, because I didn’t know better and thought it meant a guaranteed lay, it caused me nothing but trouble. The unwanted card I received from an ex just after I got married, the psycho bitch who thought I should have spent more than I did, and went off her nut because I told her the value she had placed on herself was far from realistic, various arguments… Year in, year out it caused trouble.
