The perfect gift for a woman – well mine anyway…!
I never get why so many guys seem to be a bit afraid of some bed time accessories – but apparently according to my wife some are! Not long after we first met she joked about bring her ‘friend’ around to my place one evening. Of course, being a red blooded male my imagination started to run away with me (she has some very attractive friends!). Alas, the images in my head weren’t exactly what she had in mind!
She was (much to my disappointment and dismay) talking about her Rabbit – an item that I suspect, not without some evidence, most thirty something women who have ever watched Sex in the City posses. So, next evening she turns up with her ‘friend’ in her handbag wearing a long coat with nothing beneath it but her sexiest underwear and me, her, and her Rabbit had a rather ‘fulfilling evening’ all round…
It was early days for us at the time and later that evening we got to discussing the ‘friend’. We’d both not long come out of relationships and had both had the ‘I’m out it – time for a younger model’ phase. She was, and still is one of mine…. And she was telling me that between times her younger men had been horrified at the sight of her toy, and how shocked she was that I wasn’t intimidated at the introduction of this ‘third party’ to our sex life. To be honest, I’d never really given it much thought – toys were always a part of it for me – any guy who’s got anything about him is well aware that a little help in the bedroom doesn’t go amiss – there’s not many women who are guaranteed to hit the heights they want 100% of the time based on just our own abilities. It’s simply a biological fact we’re made differently… There’s no shame in it!
That Rabbit ‘died’ a couple of years ago – don’t ask! And she missed it dearly… So, in a moment of hedonism recently I decided to acquire her a replacement as a gift. And, have also got another couple of other items to introduce to her in the coming weeks (which I’ll return to later) from the Eden Fantasies website. Read the rest of this entry »
Woman of the week – Lucy Lawless
I’ve written about Lucy Lawless a couple of times – most recently in my post about Spartacus. So, we thought it’s about time we featured her as our woman of the week. Still looking fantastic at 42, and not a bad actress to boot… Read the rest of this entry »
How to save money on AA batteries…
I haven’t tried this yet – but I’m certainly going to give it a shot to see if it’s true…
Sailing
I’ve been taking a bit of a break from writing this week, way to busy with other projects – and have also been sailing out in the Atlantic with a friend of mine. We went to collect his boat which had been chartered on a one way trip to bring back home.

The view from the plane as we approached our departure point...
I’ve been sailing with him before off the coast of our little island and really enjoyed it, great fun as a day trip. But I think after this trip my deep ocean days are over! First night, serious sea sickness, after which I immediately went to sleep in my cabin to awake to the views of the open ocean, and the rest of it, well, just sea, sea and more sea, and a bit more sleep.
Not feeling to great – I slept a lot! I missed the dolphins my friends along on the trip saw – the one thing I really wanted to see (but did see the somewhat menacing shark fin as we left our departure marina) – and I missed the swim in 3 mile deep waters… I slept through the highlights. Musing to myself, I came to the conclusion that this type of long journey is like sitting in a floating caravan for hours with no way to stretch your legs. Read the rest of this entry »
