Update on the Cesar Milan training
I wrote recently after acquiring our new dog about how we were employing the Cesar Millan training methods for the two books we had bought – How to Raise the Perfect Dog and Cesar’s Way.
Here’s a bit of an update…On the whole, with the odd glitch as you can see, yes this is one of the actual books – it’s working out pretty well. Both of the boys are way better on the lead, and generally behave pretty well together. They do occasionally have issues with each other and get a bit boisterous – but we expected that with them both being dogs.
I’ve read one of the books – must get around to the other – and pretty much watched most of everything he’s done for TV. It works – it really does. Though I do wonder sometimes that he seems to have something very special about him, almost a ‘Doctor Doolittle quality’, that we mere mortals can never hope to emulate. The man has a gift!
The perfect gift for a woman – well mine anyway…!
I never get why so many guys seem to be a bit afraid of some bed time accessories – but apparently according to my wife some are! Not long after we first met she joked about bring her ‘friend’ around to my place one evening. Of course, being a red blooded male my imagination started to run away with me (she has some very attractive friends!). Alas, the images in my head weren’t exactly what she had in mind!
She was (much to my disappointment and dismay) talking about her Rabbit – an item that I suspect, not without some evidence, most thirty something women who have ever watched Sex in the City posses. So, next evening she turns up with her ‘friend’ in her handbag wearing a long coat with nothing beneath it but her sexiest underwear and me, her, and her Rabbit had a rather ‘fulfilling evening’ all round…
It was early days for us at the time and later that evening we got to discussing the ‘friend’. We’d both not long come out of relationships and had both had the ‘I’m out it – time for a younger model’ phase. She was, and still is one of mine…. And she was telling me that between times her younger men had been horrified at the sight of her toy, and how shocked she was that I wasn’t intimidated at the introduction of this ‘third party’ to our sex life. To be honest, I’d never really given it much thought – toys were always a part of it for me – any guy who’s got anything about him is well aware that a little help in the bedroom doesn’t go amiss – there’s not many women who are guaranteed to hit the heights they want 100% of the time based on just our own abilities. It’s simply a biological fact we’re made differently… There’s no shame in it!
That Rabbit ‘died’ a couple of years ago – don’t ask! And she missed it dearly… So, in a moment of hedonism recently I decided to acquire her a replacement as a gift. And, have also got another couple of other items to introduce to her in the coming weeks (which I’ll return to later) from the Eden Fantasies website. Read the rest of this entry »
Spartacus: Blood and Sand
Spartacus: Blood and Sand – simply has to have been the best thing on TV for an age…! The first series has had everything – made much in a similar style to 300 - there’s violence, plenty of it, loads of sex, intrigue, emotion and a fantastic series of Machiavellian twists and turns in the plot.
And, of course lets not forget the eye candy – plenty for both guys and girls – and some gay friends (as you’ll understand when you see it if you haven’t already), are rather taken with it too. Lawless (formerly Xena and D’Anna in Battlestar Galactica) is as horny as ever. John Hannah as the devious Batiatus for me has hit the peak of his career – his portrayal of the character is the best I’ve ever seen him. Read the rest of this entry »
Cesar Millan
I wrote recently about having bought a couple of Cesar Millan books. Prompted by the arrival of a new dog in the house – we decided we really needed to get the new boy off to a good start and iron out a few (thankfully) minor discrepancies in our existing boy!
Well, I’ve just read the first of the two books we bought – Cesar’s Way – and we’ve also watched the entire first series of The Dog Whisperer
as I’ve been reading the book. To be honest I found both the book and the TV series a bit repetitive – not necessarily a bad thing, as there is a simple philosophy behind everything he says. It’s really simple! The repetitive nature of both the book and the series sure makes the basic principles sink in… Read the rest of this entry »
Invictus
I’ve seen this movie a couple of times. In many ways it’s actually a great film – and if Nelson Mandela is even half the man he is portrayed as in the film – how could anyone fail to be in awe of what a truly great man he is – one of the 20th centuries greatest I’d say.
The film look good, the script is well written, and the acting from Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon is as good as you’d expect. Matt Damon especially has the South African accent licked! As someone who happens to know a little about rugby, it’s great to see a man’s sport being introduced to the American public – no pseudo armour in this sport! Read the rest of this entry »
