Michael Jackson – when will the nonesense end…?
We’re usually pretty light-hearted on this site. But watching Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson’s doctor being charged with manslaughter really got me angry. From day one, before there was any evidence whatsoever – the died in the wool Jackson fans have been baying for his blood.
If there’s any justice in the world this will soon be over and Conrad Murray will walk away a free man. It doesn’t take much supposition or digging to find out that Jackson was taking drugs from other sources too… No point going into the details here – it’s all over the press for any clear thinking rational individual to see.
The reality is that given that his tour was set to make half a billion, or whatever figure they put to it – the promoters, family and all the other parties who stood to gain, have to blame somebody. They need someone to sue for their perceived losses. Would they have been so worried if he had died a year later after inflating their profits and inheritances.
What a farce the American justice system is. Here’s an alleged (sic) paedophile who got away with (allegedly) abusing children through out of court settlements. And, his die hard fans genuinely believed his innocence – because they thought he was such a genius he couldn’t possibly have done it. Blind devotion… (probably the same confused individuals who managed to convince themselves that OJ was innocent.
Most reasonable thinking people see the man for what he was – a seriously screwed up, drug soaked, (alleged) child abuser… And, believe it or not, most of us didn’t consider him a musical genius either!

Brittany Murphy dies at age 32!
There’s really only one thing to write about this morning – the death of Brittany Murphy at only 32.
According to most reliable sources Brittany died on Sunday at 10:04 PST at the home she shared with her husband British writer Simon Monjack. Initial reports described her death as due to ‘natural causes’ (no doubt the vultures will soon be circling with their absurd conspiracy theories soon as always after such a perfectly reasonable description), and a number of sources are now describing it as cardiac arrest.
Best know perhaps (certainly in our eyes) for films like 8 Mile
and Sin City, Brittany Murphy has had a relatively successful career with the promise of more to come. Whatever the circumstances, whoever they are, it’s never pleasant to see the demise of someone so young with such a future ahead of them… Our thought go out to Brittany Murphy’s family.

Björk – All is Full of Love, live in New York
It’s been a while since I’ve put anything on about Björk- she’s something of a fixation of mine – one most of my friends and my wife think qualifies me as nuts, I guess you either get it or you don’t! Anyway, just found this video of her live in New York – which convinces me even more I should get to see her sometime… Pure genius!
Woman of the week – Madonna
Sticking with the musical theme of last week, unlike Björk there’s nothing anyone would find ’strangely attractive about Madonna – the woman is hot and always has been.
Okay, the music has been a bit ropey at times, some brilliant, some downright terrible. But you have to admire the way the woman has kept reinventing herself over the years.
Give or take a little, she’s been in the limelight for about 25 years at the time of writing this, and still looking pretty damned good for a woman in her 50’s now…
To top it off she’s a pretty astute business woman – it’s one hell of a career she’s had – apart from getting involved with that talentless ‘one trick pony’ Guy Richie.
